This policy is designed to ensure that the use of Generative AI technology is conducted ethically, transparently, and in accordance with academic standards in the writing, review, and publication of articles in the Citra Delima Scientific Journal of Citra Internasional Institute.

This policy applies to all authors, editors, reviewers, and other parties involved in the manuscript publication process.

Principles for Using Generative AI

  • Generative AI may be used as an aid, not as a substitute for the author's academic competence.
  • The use of AI must not violate publication ethics, diminish originality, or produce invalid data.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the authenticity, truthfulness, and integrity of the manuscript.

Permissible Uses of AI

  • Improving grammar and writing style.
  • Producing non-substantive summaries.
  • Creating a basic outline.
  • Analyzing text without manipulating research data.

Prohibited Uses of AI

  • Generating research data, simulations, or empirical findings that are not based on original data.
  • Generating entire manuscripts using AI without the author's scientific contribution.
  • Using AI to fabricate citations or create fictitious quotations.
  • Plagiarism caused by AI output.

Obligation to Disclosure the Use of AI

Authors are required to include a statement regarding the use of AI in the Acknowledgment or Author's Notes section. For example:

"The author used Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to a limited extent for grammatical correction without affecting the scientific substance of this article."

Ethical Responsibility

Authors are required to ensure that the use of AI does not violate copyright, data privacy, or academic ethics.

Actions for Violations

Violations of the policy will result in action ranging from mandatory revisions, rejection of the manuscript, to retraction of the article if the violation is discovered after publication.

Policy Revisions

The policy will be updated periodically to reflect technological developments and ethical guidelines for scientific publication.
